BIOGRAPHY

Praised for her superb musicianship and captivating stage presence, Anastasiya Bazhenova is a concert pianist known for her profound emotional depth, radiant tone colors, and masterful technique. 

Her playing has been described as "breathtaking — with great depth of feeling, beautiful tone colors, and impeccable technique. She has her own unique voice and something individual to say in each piece."

Born in Voronezh, Russia, she began studying piano at the age of four and gave her first solo recital at seven. She was accepted into the ten-year program for young talents at the Central Music College in Voronezh, where she studied under Natalia Mushechkova. At fifteen, she made her orchestral debut with Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2; at eighteen, she returned to the same stage with Prokofiev's Third Concerto.

She later studied at the Voronezh Academy of Arts with Professor Arcady Dubovik, a renowned pedagogue whose publications are widely used throughout Russian conservatories. In 2012, Anastasiya moved to Norway to continue her studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, where she earned her Master's degree under Professor Jens Harald Bratlie.

Anastasiya has performed throughout Europe and North America, both as a soloist and chamber musician. Her recent highlights include a debut at Carnegie Hall in New York, solo recitals at the Palermo Classica Festival, and concerts in Vienna and Oslo. 

Over the years, she has been awarded top prizes at more than twenty international piano competitions, recognized for her depth of interpretation and distinctive musical voice.

In addition to her solo work, she is an active chamber musician and regularly serves as a jury member for international piano competitions organized by Pulsar Music in Toronto.
