Praised for her superb musicianship and captivating stage presence, Anastasiya Bazhenova is a concert pianist known for her profound emotional depth, radiant tone colors, and masterful technique.
Her artistry is defined by an intense inner world — a dialogue between darkness and light, silence and sound.
Born in Voronezh, Russia, she began piano studies at the age of four and gave her first solo recital at seven. She was accepted into the ten-year program for gifted children at the Central Music College in Voronezh, one of Russia's leading schools for young talents, where she studied under Natalia Mushechkova. At fifteen she made her orchestral debut with Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2; at seventeen she returned to the same stage with Prokofiev's Third Concerto.
She continued her education at the Voronezh Academy of Arts with Professor Arcady Dubovik and later moved to Norway to pursue advanced studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, earning her Master's degree under Professor Jens Harald Bratlie.
Anastasiya performs throughout Europe and North America, both as a soloist and chamber musician. Recent highlights include her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York, solo recitals at the Palermo Classica Festival, and concerts in Vienna and Oslo.
Early in her career, she received numerous international awards recognizing the individuality and emotional depth of her interpretations.
In addition to her solo work, she is an active chamber musician and regularly serves as a jury member for international piano competitions organized by Pulsar Music in Toronto.
Her debut album will be released on Etcetera Records in 2026.
